Different Types Of Commercial Pool Heat Pumps
On/Off Models
These simple heaters only warm water to a set temperature and cannot adjust power output. Without an active defrosting system, ice will form on the evaporator when temperatures drop below 10°C, especially at the start or end of the season, making the unit unable to heat at all.
Reversible On/Off models
These models run in an on-off mode but are equipped with a reverse cycle. This design enables the condenser to function as an evaporator, utilizing hot gas to defrost the unit and thus prolonging the pool season.
Inverter heat pumps
Being reversible, these models can adjust their heating capacity as needed, making them highly practical for regulating water temperature with low energy consumption.
Full inverter heat pumps
Unlike standard inverter models, full inverter models can adjust compressor and fan speed, thus lowering the heat pump's noise level.
